I work out these images enhancing different layers, drawing whatever presents itself to me, with no goal other than transmitting the impulse or desire of the moment, in – as it were, an ecriture automatique.
The very moment of metamorphosis appeals to me.
When drawing a line, I follow the process, letting the line turn into form, transforming itself into something I was not looking for – that comes to me unexpectedly.
Though abstract, my images sometimes present recognisable figurative elements that may act as a narrative, envisaging the teeming quality of nature, imbued with serendipity.
